This is a great product and service. It was fairly easy to install although I had to come up with a workaround to apply to my situation that was not explained well in the manual. For most people, if you follow ooma's instructions, it will work. In my case, I wanted most of my phones to connect with the base unit and only one phone connected to the Scout. To accomplish this I connected the base unit to most of the phones through the house wiring. This cause an issue with connecting the base to the scout so I modified the house wiring using the '2nd line wires' (2 leads commonly installed in home telephone wiring but seldom used) to allow the scout and the base unit to connect with each other.
