Buying ooma Core VoIP Phone System with No Monthly Phone Service Bills

To start the equipment and setup is easy and of good quality. I was very happy upfront with my purchase. However, I have yet to get my caller ID working after a month of numerous attempts. I've called the OOMA service desk may times plus a number of emails with no resolution. Each time I called I got different answer, processing error, provider problem, timing issue with the update, yada, yada. In the end they all said 'it takes 7-10 days for callerID to process'. Well 30 days later no callerID. Very frustrating. So, silly me I decide to go ahead and port my number because one of the agents said that would fix everything up. 20 days later my original home number was suddenly disconnected. No notifiction, no email, nothing. So I call the OOMA help desk yet again, as it turns out the phone port was in fact performed which caused the disconnect message. It would have been sorta nice to know in advance that the port was scheduled so all my called didn't BOUNCE but hey I figure what the heck at least it got done. So, I asked "What about callerID, is it working noooow"? Answer, you guessed it 'Wait' for it to propogate ..... doh
