We had already taken the voice-over-IP plunge for a year or so with Vonage, and were reasonably happy with the service, but it was getting expensive each month, without that much use. Switching to Ooma was easy - setup took 15 minutes at the outside. I really like that you can listen to messages while they're being left (like an answering machine). International rates to where we are calling are very low, and the sound quality is excellent. Also a key feature is to get voice mail messages sent to you by e-mail as a sound file - that is very handy.

The only drawback for us (and the reason it doesn't get five stars) is that 3-way call conferencing is a "premier" feature that you have pay for extra each month. It would be nice if Ooma bumped that feature to the "regular" service!

I have just ordered another Ooma for my in-laws - it's a terrific gadget that lives up to its promise.
