ooma Core VoIP Phone System with No Monthly Phone Service Bills Decide Now

I know about ooma one year ago. During that time the cost of ooma hub along with scout was $400.00 but all the premier features were free forever. I am a student and couldn't afford that much money at one time. So I didn't buy it. But after some time they reduced the price to $249.99 with price for premier features. That's O.K. because the company has to survive and also people who really needs them and who can afford can buy them. I told my friend who can afford it and he got it and has been using for more 8 months and no complains so far.

So far I had it for about 10 days. I love the technology and VOIP. The installation took less than 20 minutes including activation on online. The voice quality was great without any echo or anything of that sort. I also called an international place with phone card as the price to the country i called is expensive through ooma. There wasn't any difference in the voice too.

Many people have complained about the customer service of OOMA like waiting for more than 30 minutes and disconnected. May be its their bad time. I called them about my porting and it was connected to representative in less than 10 minutes. They were friendly and answered all my questions with patience. May be its my lucky day.

I tested the OOMA voicemail and it was working nice. I noticed that if you have answering machine on your phone, the voicemail goes into it and not into ooma. If you turn off your answering machine on the phone, then it goes into ooma voicemail. I haven't got a chance to test the second phone line as didn't set up the scout yet. I also tested the multiring on the premier feature and it turned out to working good. The caller ID and call waiting were useful.

My overall conclusion :
It is a great product and works well as said.
