Was getting ready to bake a cake for the 3 month anniversary of waiting for my port request when the order was completed yesterday (10 weeks really).

I was porting a number away from Cox Communications, and Ooma informed me that this number was "owned" by a 3rd party broker, hence the delay. Rather than use the automatic new #, I continued to piggyback through Ooma on my Cox connection and my original number, as another reviewer had mentioned - it was fine.

Customer service was fairly responsive on my issue, but only in response to my queries; not proactive at all to keep me posted. Also, notwithstanding the 1st review on the product, their instructions do indicate each corded phone or cordless base must be connected to an Ooma device, hence the import of the Scout.
