I purchased Ooma about one week ago from Amazon because of its sound quality, price, unlimited US calls, and no monthly fee features. It was delivered from Amazon on time as usual.

Before purchasing Ooma, I had tried many different VoIP products, such as Magic Jack, and they were all returned because of poor sound quality. After reviewing customer reviews from Amazon, I found the major problem of Ooma was the problem from installation and customer service. Because of the feature of non-monthly fee feature and previous good Amazon purchasing experiences, I decided to give it a try.

The product was packaged and document very well in a style similar to Apple. The sound quality is as good as the phone from my landline. My friends told me that they could not tell any difference of its sound quality from my landline phone during my testing calls.

I called customer service to ask some questions about my installation problems and some features of the device, I got all answers to the questions. The only problem I had is that I had to hold my calls for an average of 30 minutes.

Overall, I am very happy about this product so far and I am waiting for the company to port my phone number. This is an excellent phone device for those who want to save fixed monthly phone bills, or some advanced features with low annual fee. However, its rates of international phone calls are still not as competitive as most phone cards.
