I've had the Ooma about a week and I am very happy with it. The quality of the calls is impressive. People who I have talked to have not noticed any differences. The device was very easy to setup, it comes with very clear easy instructions. I was actually worried about how big the Ooma looked in pics, but when I took it out I was surprised at how small and sleek it was. It actually sort of looks like an Apple product. So kudos on the design. My only minor beef with the design is that it only comes in White. I would imagine later versions will offer more colors.

At $200 or more, the Ooma is pretty pricey, but I think it is a worthwhile investment considering that you won't pay for a home phone bill, so it basically pays for itself over time. They also actually let you keep your number and port it, but the porting process can take anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks. Porting is also an additional $30 bucks. In the meantime though, you have the option to use a temporary number while they handle the porting. Now personally I feel this takes too long. I have a cable connection and had my phone service through a cable provider with no contract. The porting process I feel should be smoother and should not take so long. But it's a minor gripe. I definitely recommend Ooma. It is a product that could change a lot of things in the industry, once people become more aware of it. There is no excuse to not have a home phone connection when you can purchase the Ooma.
