Purchased a new ooma online (brand new, not a replacement device) and received it today. tried to activate it online to get this message: "Your Hub has already been registered. To complete the activation process, please speak with a member of our customer support team at 1-888-711-6662, available everyday, 8am to 6pm, PST." i asked my self if they are duplicating the MAC no.s, So i called the customer support (you will stay on the wait for a loooooong time) and they told me that this system was registered 2 days ago!!! i told them that i received a sealed brand new system that was at the warehouse 2 days ago and they said that they have no explanation for it. They said they will call me back and guess what:( They never did. The wait on the customer support lines is really bad. Obviously they let people activate any device if they typed the right mac address of any device by mistake. so if you are that lucky one, you are in for a mess. Although i was hoping i could get rid of my old expensive line yet i don't think that this is gonna work so i will return this thing today.
