Order ooma Core VoIP Phone System with No Monthly Phone Service Bills

I purchased an Ooma last week with the greatest of hope for dropping one land line and its accompanying long distance contract. However, the Ooma device just didn't live up to its billing. While incoming voice quality was very good, outbound voice quality was poor. I tried three different handsets, all with the same result. Outbound voices sounded far away and harsh... with an echo to people on the other end. Not good. I tried various speed settings for the outbound call from 0-4000 kbps, but those settings had no discernable impact on voice quality.

I e-mailed Ooma customer support for help and never received any response.
