Buying ooma Core VoIP Phone System with No Monthly Phone Service Bills

I bought the Ooma product in Jan 2009 based on the Amazon and other reviews. My set-up is simple. I use only the Ooma hub and an expandable cordless phone system to get multiple access locations in the house. The Ooma device worked just fine with my 2Wire home gateway. The set up was a breeze and the call quality is truly a differentiator. I was mostly using my cellphone for all my calls, but given the vastly superior call quality of Ooma VoIP phone, I now use the land line a lot more than I used to before (mostly a reflection of the spotty cellphone coverage in my home, though). One little catch that I had was in dialing out - I forgot that we need to add a 1 before the area code to dial out. My cordless phone address book has all the numbers entered without a 1 before the area code and with cellphones not needing a 1 prefix, I had to "re-learn" to dial with a 1-prefix.
