I have used this device for 2 weeks now and here is my setup and experience.

1. Connected by landline to the OOMA so that the landline is connedted seamlessly and I do not have to change numbers. Also I have Phone service during power outages.
2. All outgoing call go thru the OOMA so no charges.
3. Called my landline company and changed my service to the very basic.
