I was skeptical about the ease of setup. We chose to hook up the Ooma system via the internet. It literally took 15 minutes to activate the new phone number and get the ooma Hub up and running. The longest part was deciding which phone # to choose from the list they provide. You do have the option of keeping your current #, but there is a lag time of ~6 weeks from when you can actually be free of the phone company. With a new # you can cancel your old phone service right away.

The answering system is awesome. Very simple to setup and use. Your messages are accesible from the internet via the Oooma Lounge, or you can be notified of new messages through cell or email.

The quality of the calls is great. I don't notice any discernable difference in quality of calls. It's nice that Ooma uses an different dial tone so you always know you are free from the phone company's grip.

That is about it. Now we can sit back and stash the $40+/mo we save into savings. One less bill to worry about.
