I want to add a comment about the customer service. Yes, it is weak, but you can get good support from other members in the member forums. They are very helpful. Also, when you get someone on the phone they will speak English that can be understood. I hate calling companies and getting 'Bob' from India that you can not understand. Other VOIP companies may get someone to answer, but it is often outsourced. Pick your poison. I am glad I am making the switch to OOMA and must say you should try it out for yourself. People posting 1 star with no consideration for the product itself is not quite right. I have experienced crappy service but this thing just works and works well.

The product works as advertised. I was not able to port my number but did not expect to since I went through several VOIP providers to see if they could port my number and was not successful. I called customer service one time to check into number porting and had to wait 15 minutes for an answer and the person did not sound real professional, that is he was not real pleasant to talk to. This was on a Sunday afternoon. I also sent an email concerning the number port and received an answer after 9 days. Other than the less than stellar customer service, the product is working great. The calls are clear. I will be dropping my phone service soon. When I set mine up, I opted not to piggy back on top of my local phone service, but still hooked up the scout device to have more than one phone connected. I hope the company stays in business. The additional add on premium features that were just released are something I will be checking into.
