I have had Vonage for over two years and despite a somewhat rocky start with equipment replacements, it works pretty well. The call quality can be a little quirky and it requires multiple calls at times to get a decent connection. All in all though, worth $30 a month. Ooma however, is thus far, much much better. The quality of the calls is unbelievable. It's so clear that when I first used it I thought I was getting disconnected when there wasn't conversation going on. No hiss, no static, nothing, it's crystal clear. Set-up was easy, it gave me an actual local number unlike vonage which gave me a number from the closest larger city and the device itself is well made. This is just an unbelievable service that will quickly pay for itself. If you have high speed internet, there is absolutely no excuse not to get this. Even with the low price of vonage I will recoup the cost of the device after only 6 or 7 months. You just can't beat that.
